Matt Mangione & the Union

Mike Mangione and his band “the Union” don’t play the kind of music that I normally think of when I think “Christian music.” And yet, their music is rich with Christian imagery and deeply imbued with a Catholic spirituality. Those familiar with John Paul II’s theology of the body, particular as it is explained by Christopher West, will quickly notice some of its themes present in MM&TU’s music.

At Your Gate, Are We Gonna Rise, You Were Beautiful Once, Somewhere Between, Endless… I can’t decide which of these songs from their latest album “Offering” to call my favorite. Check them out and let me know what you think.
